New Air Service Blooms this Spring

Spring will bloom not only fresh flowers, but new flights at CLT.

Sun Country Airlines begins commercial air service April 13 from Charlotte to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) on Mondays and Fridays.

On April 15, American Airlines will introduce a third daily flight from CLT to London Heathrow (LHR). Passengers will depart CLT at 11:25 p.m. and land in London the next day at 12:15 p.m. The airline’s two other flights from Charlotte depart at 6:35 p.m. and 8:33 p.m., landing in LHR at 7:40 a.m. and 9:05 a.m.

If not London, how about the City of Light? Beginning June 2 through Sept. 5, American will resume daily service to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in France.

The airline also plans launching in March through early April Saturday only flights from CLT to University Park Airport (SCE) in State College, Pa.

Charlotte Douglas is served by eight major carriers, 15 regional carriers and three foreign flag carriers with nonstop service to 184 destinations, including 37 international locations and three U.S. territories.
