​Airport Community Job Fair Planned for Saturday, February 27


February 19, 2016 - Charlotte Douglas International Airport, along with its tenants, will host a community job fair from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 27 at the CLT Center -located at 5601 Wilkinson Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28208.

A variety of companies will be present to share information about current and future job opportunities for full-time, part-time, seasonal and temporary employment. Employers are seeking to fill hundreds of open positions in retail, ground transportation, airline services, valet services, maintenance, security, parking and food and beverage.

 

This event is being held to create awareness in the community about the wide variety of jobs available at the Airport and to fill the needs of CLT’s tenants to recruit and hire qualified personnel.

Charlotte Douglas is one of the largest employers in Mecklenburg County and is credited for directly or indirectly creating over 100,000 jobs in the region by the businesses it serves. More than 20,000 workers are employed within the terminal and surrounding airfield.

 

Carowinds also will be in attendance accepting applications for its 2016 season. The amusement park employs more than 4,000 seasonal associates.

Attire for the job fair is business casual. Attendees are asked to bring multiple copies of their resume. Some applications will be available to fill out on-site and interviews may be given that day. Free parking will be available in Business Valet Deck II. Airport staff will be on hand to assist drivers.
