Final Media Advisory #7: 11:30AM
- The Airport remains open and operational. Staff is working with our partners to assist customers.
- Many airline flight schedules have returned to normal at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Some cancellations, however, are reported for today.
- Due to continued weather conditions related to this winter storm in other parts of the country, customers are advised to continue to check with their airline in regard to the status of their flight before leaving for the Airport.
- CLT's three parallel runways are open. Runway 5/23 was closed Friday for de-icing operations.
- De-icing of aircraft is underway. CLT has de-iced 12 aircraft as of 10:30 a.m. today. More than 100 planes were de-iced Saturday. Approximately 70 planes were de-iced Friday.
- Airport maintenance crews continue working to clear the airfield of snow and ice.
- Charlotte Douglas remains under its irregular operations plan to respond to any stranded passenger and/or terminal impacts. CLT accommodated more than 1,000 passengers in the terminal overnight. Cots, blankets and pillows were distributed.

Media Advisory #6: 9:45PM
- Charlotte Douglas International Airport is open.
- Airline flight schedules are returning to normal. Some cancellations, however, are reported for tomorrow.
- Travelers are advised to check with their airline for updates regarding flight status before leaving for the Airport.
- CLT's three parallel runways remain open.
- More than 100 planes were de-iced as of 9:30 p.m. today. Approximately 70 planes were de-iced Friday.
- CLT will have 10 de-icing trucks on-site in the morning, if deicing is requested by the airlines.
- Runway 5/23 was closed yesterday and will remain closed throughout the duration of this weather event for de-icing operations.
- Airport maintenance crews continue working clearing the airfield of snow and ice.
- CLT is working closely with the airlines, TSA and various partners as airline operations continue.
- The Airport remains under its irregular operations plan to respond to any stranded passenger and/or terminal impacts. Cots, blankets and pillows will be distributed to passengers staying in the terminal overnight.

- Charlotte Douglas International Airport is open.
- Airlines continue reporting cancellations and delays for later tonight and tomorrow.
- Travelers are advised to check with their airline for updates regarding flight status before leaving for the Airport.
- All three parallel runways at CLT are now open.
- De-icing of aircraft remains underway. Approximately 91 planes were de-iced as of 5 p.m. today. Seventy planes were de-iced Friday.
- Currently, CLT has 22 de-icing trucks on-site.
- Runway 5/23 was closed yesterday and will remain closed throughout the duration of this weather event for de-icing operations.
- Airport maintenance crews continue working clearing the airfield of snow and ice.
- All checkpoints are now open.
- CLT is working closely with the airlines, TSA and various partners as airline operations continue.

- De-icing of aircraft is underway. Approximately 70 planes were de-iced Friday.
- CLT has 35 de-icing trucks on-site.
- Runway 5/23 was closed yesterday and will remain closed throughout the duration of this weather event for de-icing operations.
- Airport crews treated and plowed the airfield throughout the night and will continue today.
- Currently, Runways 18C/36C and 18L/36R are open.
- CLT accommodated approximately 180 passengers overnight due to cancelled flights.
- Parking areas were treated last night and throughout the morning.
- Airlines are reporting cancellations and delays throughout the day.
- All checkpoints are open except for Checkpoint C.
- CLT continues to work with its partners and airlines.

- Runway 5/23 was closed yesterday and will remain closed throughout the duration of this weather event for de-icing operations.

- De-icing trucks will be on-site this morning and prepared to conduct de-icing operations, if requested.

- Runway 5/23 was closed today and will remain closed throughout the duration of this weather event for de-icing operations.
- More than 30 planes have been de-iced today.
- The Airport has initiated its irregular operations plans to respond to any stranded passenger and/or terminal impacts. This includes coordination with airlines, concessions and TSA.
- CLT also has activated its 12-hour rotating snow teams.
- Airlines are reporting cancellations for tonight and tomorrow.
- Pretreatment of the airfield began last night and continued today.
