Airport and Aviation Media To Host SMART Airports & Regions Conference and Exhibition August 2-4

July 28, 2017 - Charlotte Douglas International Airport in partnership with Aviation Media is hosting the SMART Airports & Regions conference and exhibition August 2-4 at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel. The three-day event will draw hundreds of aviation leaders and experts from around the world to discuss the future of aviation. Topics will include:

  • Future trends, challenges and objectives for air transportation facilities

  • Smart non-aeronautical revenue strategies and trends

  • Positive impacts that aviation has had on economic development, job creation, tourism and trade

  • Keys to delivering an unique customer centric experience

  • Planning resilience for Smart Airports, cities and regions as population densities increase

Aviation Director Brent Cagle and CLT administrators will take part in several panel discussions.

Participants also will have an opportunity on Wednesday, August 2 to receive a behind the scenes tour of the Airport and visit the site of CLT's future land development initiative - Project AMP.
