Dates Set for Environmental Assessment Workshops and Hearings

May 12 - Charlotte Douglas International Airport is giving the public two opportunities next week to learn about and comment on the Draft EA that evaluates the potential impacts of the proposed construction of a fourth parallel Runway 1-19 (including end-around taxiways) and expansion of the terminal and ramp. The virtual public workshops and hearings are intended to discuss to the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) associated with these projects.

The virtual meetings are:

  • Public workshop begins at 1 p.m., Monday, May 17 followed by a public hearing at 2 p.m.
  • Public workshop begins at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 18 followed by a public hearing at 7 p.m.

The public workshops will allow the project team to provide updates on the Draft EA and discuss next steps. The public hearings are an opportunity for the community to make statements regarding the Draft EA.
