Feb. 1, 2021 - Charlotte Douglas International Airport is working closely with our partners regarding TSA’s security directive that will implement provisions of the CDC’s Emergency Order on Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel at midnight, February 1, 2021. Travelers are required to wear face masks when they are in airports, bus and rail stations, as well as while on passenger aircraft, public transportation, passenger railroads and over-the-road buses operating on scheduled fixed-routes. As a reminder, individuals must wear a face mask or risk denial for entry through TSA security checkpoints, denial of re-entry or removal from the premises. Individuals also face possible trespassing penalties. The Airport has signage throughout the terminal and on airport property reminding passengers to wear a mask and is committed to a safe and healthy environment as we continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
