Washington, D.C. – Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) on Jan. 19 announced Ella Rice Moultrie as the recipient of the 2023 ACI-NA Risk Management Professional of the Year Award. Moultrie serves as Risk, Safety & Health Manager in the City of Charlotte Aviation Department, owner and operator of Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
“As airports continue their focus on risk mitigation and resiliency, airports are continuing to enhance their risk management strategies,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. “I congratulate Ella on her demonstrated leadership and thank her for her commitment to fostering a safer and responsive system that serves its passengers, customers and region.”
The recipient was presented during the 2024 Risk Management Conference in Austin, Texas. The conference was attended by nearly 200 risk management professionals from the global airport industry.
Moultrie is responsible for leading the safety and health initiatives intended to keep airport employees and customers safe. Her leadership, initiative and quality of work have allowed both the Aviation Department and the City of Charlotte to identify opportunities that reduce the risk of injury and illness, as well as strengthen CLT’s overall risk mitigation posture. She is a member of ACI-NA’s Risk Management Committee Steering Group.
