The runway remains closed. The airlines continue to experience some delays. We are ready to assist our federal and airline partners in removing the aircraft and reopening the runway when we are given the official word. We are asking customers to check with their airline for an updated status of their flight before coming to the Airport.

At approximately 8:40 a.m. Delta Air Lines Flight 1092 landed in Charlotte on Runway 36 Left. The aircraft remains on the runway due to mechanical issues. The runway is closed and Airport is working to remove the aircraft. There were no injuries reported, and passengers were bussed to the terminal.
