Dec. 2, 2021 - Over the Thanksgiving holiday (Wednesday, Nov. 24 - Sunday, Nov. 28), Charlotte Douglas International Airport welcomed approximately 348,000 passengers. It was CLT’s largest crowd since Christmas 2019 and the start of the pandemic. CLT is one of American Airlines’ largest connecting hubs and accommodates thousands of passengers daily who travel through the airport. These numbers include all passengers who travel to, from and through CLT.
The busiest days were Wednesday, Nov. 24 with roughly 84,000 passengers and Sunday, Nov. 28 with about 86,000 passengers.
CLT is among the top 10 busiest airports in the world. The latest passenger numbers from January to October 2021 compared to that same period in 2019 indicate that the Airport is at 85% of pre-pandemic passenger levels.
